I was just thinking, “Hm, it’s been a while since we’ve heard about that Promaster...”

I keep wanting to view this as a parody account, because there’s no way a vehicle should be this bad in every way

O h, very rigorous highway engineering standards.

I suggest about 20 3" self tapping sheet metal screws should firmly secure the door in place.

Wow this is bad. I guess the Chevy Express will continue to rain as king. they may get terrible mileage, they may rust away in 10 years, but I’ve never seen one Literally fall apart like this.

My theory:

The Pro Master is a devious Italian plot to destroy American productivity, and the US economy overall.

Prove me wrong, I dare you

If I were you I wouldnt ever try to fix it I’d call the dealership and tell them to bring you a van, and pick up this turd.

My sister-in- law’s Caravan did almost the exact same thing. She just closed it and started using the door on the other side.

Lucky for me she didn’t tell me about it, and I found out by almost dropping the door on  my foot.

They’ve only been making the same van  for 12 years. Give them a chance!

At least it doesn’t rust like the old Sprinter family? I don’t understand why anyone would buy one of these over a Transit.

I see tens, if not hundreds of Ducatos/Jumpers/Boxers every day here in Europe, but I’ve never seen that happen in my life . Who the hell builds those ProMaste rs?

It might explain the Italian economy too since it’s based on the FIAT Ducato

Wow this is just crazy! Did something break off or did the bolts just come out? The problems with the US spec ones always surprise me, as the European  Ducato/Jumper/Boxer are actually pretty reliable. Makes me wonder how well they are put together in Mexico...

I suppose FCA still has the old Chrysler Crapshoot around - you’ll either get a fairly well-assembled car, or an utter lemon, and nothing in between.

Back in the late 1970s, you had to buy  a Chrysler from the lot, as you could actually inspect the car’s quality before the purchase.
